Chameleons changing colour....
Chameleons do, indeed, change colour. But not necessarily to match the particular flora behind them as is commonly believed. Fact is, funky little creatures that they are, many elements will make a chameleon colour up – including light and temperature, and even emotions such as fright, victory and defeat.
It’s still a fantastic evolutionary quirk. Would you like the ability to adapt more rapidly to your environment? A chameleon can’t wait a month to change colours – so why should you wait weeks to provision a new server?
No longer do you have to order a new server, wait for delivery, build the hardware, upgrade the firmware and then install the operating system.
VMware® Virtual Infrastructure on IBM System x™, as provided by Apex allows you to provision a new server in approximately 30 minutes - fully loaded with the operating system. Now that's server provisioning!
Over 25% of VMware's large enterprise customers have made virtual machines the default platform for all newly provisioned servers. Fulfilling requests for new servers with virtual machines defers the need to purchase new physical servers, whilst improving utilisation. This ability makes it possible to accurately forecast and strategically manage future growth in computing capacity.
All departments need to adapt, but the IT department has to adapt quicker than most. If you like the sound of provisioning a new server in half an hour, join us at our Virtualisation seminars in October & November, or contact us on
