Marathon's everRun software provides high availability and fault tolerant solutions for the Wintel environment. When applications are mission critical to the business and continuous availability is key, everRun software is the right choice.

What does everRun provide?

High Availability -- everRun HA provides extremely high levels of availability for any and all Windows applications and is far more effective than traditional high availability clustering or failover technologies. Fault management is handled by everRun to mask all failures from the application. Outages such as network and disk failures have no impact on the application state, as everRun ensures that it continues to ComputeThru® to provide uninterrupted processing. Only in the event of a catastrophic server failure is there a brief interruption while an immediate and rapid restart of the Windows environment and the application is automatically initiated without user intervention or failover scripting.

Continuous Availability -- everRun FT delivers complete continuous availability/fault tolerance to any and all Windows applications to enable continuous processing even through major failures and outages. everRun FT does not perform failovers, so there is no downtime or disconnect associated with a hardware or server failure. Rather, everRun FT synchronizes two servers so that even if an entire server fails, the application continues operating without interruption. There are no restarts and no disconnects as application state is continuously maintained. everRun masks failures from the application, so the application doesn’t see the failure, nor do users or customers.

Remote Availability -- Marathon SplitSite offers disaster tolerance protection against complete site failures by enabling the everRun HA and everRun FT solutions to deploy the redundant servers in separate locations. SplitSite protects businesses and applications from the effects of entire site failures while maintaining the same levels of availability as locally configured environments.
